Yesterday after playing a few rounds i say it is a good map but i still wish we had the original too. This just solidifies my opinion that Dice should have come up with new maps instead of remakes. We would have 14 maps by now instead of 7 !!!!!!!!!!
More I have been playing it the more I am liking it. Just hate the giant open part.....staidum should be that point
I came directly from playing BattleBit and then played a few rounds (conquest).
Coming from a game with lots and lots of assests on each map and then playing 2042, with the remade Hourglass map, is a giant let-down. The map is still barren, it has no cover what so ever (infantry still cannot hide from vehicles/snipers), the spawns are a total joke and it feels like now the map area is too small in conquest. The first game I played was a spawn-trap within a few minutes.
The map should have been scrapped and they should have made another map instead. The remake seems like a total waste of time IMHO and it is more or less as bad as the Kaleidoscope remake (the whole "remake" process was in general a giant let-down - like the rest of the game).
