And the specialists have introduced more 'complexity' to infantry game-play. Infantry has to avoid vehicles, avoid people with zip-lines going everywhere, avoid getting shot in the back by a flying woman, getting shot by an automatic turret, getting spotted behind walls etc etc., all while running on a map without much cover.

Just heavily inspired? They are a reimagination of Legends in the Battlefield Universe. They are just too close, this is basically an Apex Legends clone game with Battlefield game modes and vehicles.
Look up these and compare:

Newcastle - Irish
Pathfinder - Mackay
Valkyrie - Sundance
Rampart - Boris
Revenant - Rao
Lifeline - Falck
Loba - Angel
Gibraltar - Dozer
Just add stadium back in that empty part of the map. Let us fight in it again
I do not like the rework at all.
I think it is wise to discard it and bring back the original map with the skyscraper flags and stadium.
Just reduce some of the distance between and it will be just fine.
Now the map is so indifferent.
So sad.
They really did so much effort to improve the game, the performance, etc. and they succeded. But this rework is the worst.
