As the title says, third person is simply just horrible, playing in first person is so much more fun and engaging, but you have to choose between having fun, or beeing on a disadvatage.
There can not be a person alive that turns on third person, and thinks to himself "yea this is cooler/more fun", people use it because you get an utra Unrealistic advantage, simply turn it off and get everyboddy on the same playing field! Everything else in bf6 feels perfect.

I think there at least Needs to be an option for Portal to turn off 3rd person view 100%

Seeing what the vehicle looks from outside is absolutely part of the fun even if one was not able to use it to shoot.
Also vehicles already get the short end of the stick in 2042. If you have issues with them you play the wrong series

There’s no issue. But there should be an option to lock it to one or the other in a server
Keep both! I tend to use 3rd person to doge stuff, and sometimes in cockpit to aim / drop bombs better, but I could do it all in 3rd person, plus cool to see your vehicle esp if you have a kewl skin. I remember in BF-6 the Viper does this cool vapor cloud if you fly fast and dive and pull up quick, and you can only see it if you're in 3rd person.
To to people actually defending third person here: Would you want them to put ut in third person for the infantry also? Because that is just as dumb, makes no sense at all..
Every Battlefield game has offered third-person for vehicles since BF1942.
It is part of what the game is. Every game with piloted vehicles which is not a military simulator offers a chace camera because people like to see what they are using.
I know it sucks to sneak behind a vehicles to C4 it only get caught because the guy was on third person during that moment (I have been there, done that as infantry), but this is how it is. Vehicles are still a joke in 2042, especially if the infantry put their backs into it
The 3rd person camera has its own motives for existing. It's intuitive, "cinematic" and just fun for most people. It has existed ever since BF1942, and even more so, the Battlefield is a casual franchise either way - so changing this for the more 'hardcore' experience just won't happen. If you don't want to use it, don't - but asking for it to get removed is just crazy lol.
