How can give a solution in the dutch forum 2042 General discussion

I have a problem with the EA app but my English is not so good, there for i wrote it in Dutch in the Dutch forum of battlefield 2042 General discussion

    Who knows what to do? Should I soon have to download an update for battlefield 2042, I have indicated to the EA app that it should download it to another partition, namely E:\program files(x86)\Electronic Arts\ additional downloads. But it still downloads it to the C:\ drive and that's my SSD which is pretty full, and with a large download it says I'm running out of space. As a result, I had to uninstall Battlefield the last time with the major update and then re-download it that already included the update. and then it works, but that takes so much time that's why I have indicated a different partition in the EA app. But yesterday with the minor update it downloads it again to the C:\ than what I indicated, E:\program files(x86)\Electronic Arts\ additional downloads. What's going wrong? I have also uninstalled and reinstalled the EA app, but it still goes wrong and it keeps downloading to the C;\. Who can help me with this problem.

    @INSIDER_NL I'm a PS5 player so I lack the PC know-how in order to help you. But let's try to find someone who can.

    Let's start with summarizing the problem first; if I understand it correctly you want game update files to be downloaded to a specific location/drive (E:\)? And do I understand it also correctly that this location/drive is different from the one where the game is running from (C:\)? You tried adjusting the location where updates should be downloaded to in the EA App, but still the updates are downloaded to your C:\ drive. Did I summarize the issue correctly?

    Yes that’s correct. What I Olso did is the ea app installed on the E:/ but that doesn’t help.

    I'm not certain if this will fix the problem, or if it's what you've already done, but I wanted to pass it on still.

    I'm hoping that someone here who plays on PC will be able to give you actual advice.

    Hi all, 

    I would not recommend trying to find a way to alter the installation of the EA app so it will be installed onto a different drive, other than the default C drive. The EA app officially doesn't support being installed onto a different drive, other than the default C drive, and trying to find a way to alter this can cause issues later on. 

    Within the EA app settings, when you do the Download tab, there's a setting called "Install location", where you can change the install location of games that will be downloaded by the EA app.

    However, since this is not the EA app board, but the one for Battlefield 2042, I would also recommend keeping it related to Battlefield 2042. If you have any queries regarding the EA app, it's better to go to the EA app boards.

    @EA_Leeuw Hello mr the Leeuw I understand your answer but it's not always the solution when there's is a update to firts deinstal battlefield 2042 then get the new battlefied 2042 with the new update into it because the EA app will not download the update on a other location then the C drive. In the app i chanched the location for the update to the E drive but that's what it doest'n do.
