Get BattlEye anti cheat just like destiny 2 did lets get it.......
- @DrunkwoIf Absolutely clan rented servers with 24hr a day moderator will ban kick cheaters from the paid servers thats way better.
- @har1eydavidson yeah man these were the best back in the day. and servers with good mods were well known and players flocked to them for a good experience.
- EA please take notes on how Destiny 2 fixed there hacking problems.
How many people have been banned from Destiny 2?
Perhaps the most surprising revelation in Bungie’s blog post is that it now bans about 2,133 players each week. Prior to the launch of Destiny 2 ’s Season of the Worthy content, the studio was averaging about 656 bans. I'm divided as to whether to be optimistic. On the one hand BF's competition seems to created a significant gap in terms of effectiveness and DICE runs the risk of looking dated and weak so that is a major driver for them to step up and get back to parity with its contemporaries.
On the other hand you have the massive data leak which EA seems to downplay but that could very well be corporate smokescreen. They also had the fiasco with Titan Fall servers that from what I understand we're basically knocked out for an extended period of time by one person. My thinking goes that EA has to tread carefully in combating the cheat makers as if they have nothing to lose then they might just pull the temple down on their heads and hit EA with a massive attack.
One thing for sure is that there will be strong demand for cheats so I'm hoping that EA/DICE will utilize innovative techniques to combat cheaters.
@OskooI_007 Fact you can't talk about either cheating or anti-cheat tells all imo.
If we don't talk about it, it doesn't exist :P
Its a marketing thing because of Warzone yet they say nothing, well they havn't said much of anything on a game launching next month either. Activision gets it bullet point Vanguard getting "new anti-cheat" prob 1 guy looking at reports but they acknowledged it.
- ElliotLH4 years agoHero+@1Hairy-Gorilla The primary reason it's not a topic which is generally open for discussion on AHQ is because historically those threads quickly become toxic, with rules like "name and shame" being broken and accusations being levelled.
@ElliotLH I get the name and shame rule that's on every forum that's not the issue. Its just a bad look locking any thread that talks about cheating in general and the lack of Anti-cheats. Why not allow a megathread for it? You know this will become the main topic due to crossplay next month.
- ElliotLH4 years agoHero+@1Hairy-Gorilla There was actually a megathread at one point, but that was closed down due to people not following the rules unfortunately.
@ElliotLH Not to be rude but isn't that why you pay mods? Temp bans for those who break rules ect. Activision has poisoned the waters when it comes to crossplaying with PC, so all I can say is good luck to your mods when it launches hehe.
