How to be effective recon player

Hey everyone, first all of just wanted to say that despite the bugs we’ve all encountered, i’ve really enjoyed my time with the game so far!

i wanted to ask everyone’s opinion on how to effectively play as recon and what i can do to really help the rest of my team.

i’ve mainly been using the drone to spot and provide assists on objectives that are being captured - sometimes ending games with 30/40 assists and zero kills - as well as disrupting enemy tanks. Is this as beneficial to my team as me focussing on getting kills myself?
