So, like 99.9999% of you, i have more than 4 friends who play BF2042. Has anyone figured out how to play with more than 4 friends? I am the leader of a mid sized platoon and we are looking to play with each other. DICE or EA, wtf are we doing with Battlefield?

we are 6 on average and have at least another 4 coming today on launch. It doesn’t look like there’s currently any way to group up with more than 4 and drop into the same game even as split up squads..
what has seemed to work most of the time is queuing at the exact same time lol...sigh..gaming in 2021.
your way mentioned of sending an invite once a squad is in and then splitting up doesn’t even work for us (at least on Xbox series X/PC) because we can never EVER since early access launch join each other’s games when in progress lol. We always have to back out and pick each other up.
On top of that, if someone fails to load in properly/this bug where your loadouts don’t show (and are all grey) and you can’t deploy in we all back out again until we get a proper game where we’re all together and loaded in fine.

You may not even be able to start a portal game since most of the time you get an error that all capacities are already used.
Also you barely get any Server populated since you cant get any Progress besides the normal level ups with a custom Server
Nobody would play the normal 2042 in Portal...
I was tooling around with Portal most of the day yesterday through my PS5 and PS4 version of the game. Never got that message once jumping in and out of my servers to tweak the balance. Seems they fixed or at least improved the issue of not enough servers being available (or whatever was behind to the problem). Had 3 disconnects though in several hours of play.
I think POrtal is going to be the place organize custom matches.
I think the main game is more of the official server thing with some matchmaking and more balance.
How in the world is this game a year old and this issue still hasn’t been solved? How does EA manage to ruin everything so entirely?
