It would help to know what platform and your hardware. PC specs, monitor, mouse, console, controller, and etc.
First you need the game to be running at it's best. Turn everything to low and off in the video settings. If you're using a Nvidia gpu that's 3000 series, set Reflex to Enabled or Enabled + Boost. See what works better. If you're using an older gpu you can try Reflex on, but it may not be the best. Use your native resolution.
Hud Motion - Off
Camera Shake - Off
Crosshair Projection - Off
If you're using a mouse you need to use lower sensitivity otherwise you'll never build up muscle memory. You can never be as accurate as your potential with too high of a sensitivity.
If you're using 800 dpi, you should be using somewhere between 4-8 in game sensitivity. I wouldn't go any higher than 8. What I usually do to get in the ballpark is go from edge to edge of my mouse pad to do a full 360, then adjust from there. My mouse pad is about 18" wide. Use a big mouse pad.
Stick to the meta weapons. There's no shame and don't let anyone convince you otherwise. It's more fun to win. No good player is going to deviate to just "be different". Use M5A3, Avancys, PBX-45, PP-29. Set them up to have as little recoil as possible.
Turning "ADS Field of View" to off will use the default zoom of the game. You'll be able to see further with lower zoom scopes. It helps a lot if you're having a hard time spotting enemies. Stick to an FOV of 74-90. Make sure your monitor isn't too far away from you either. The biggest thing that stands out is movement in FPS games. Always scan, I just read going from right to left is easier to spot enemies since we're so used to reading left to right. I'm always looking for something out of place or moving. The orange markers on the enemies is so nice this iteration. My eyes appreciate it.
Spot, and do it constantly. Use Prox grenades, Turrets, Casper's Drone, do whatever you can to see people. The enemy is doing it, so should you.
Learn the maps. Get familiar with a particular objective and play that spot for the next few times you get that map.
Don't be predictable with your movement. Peek a corner at different intervals. Act like your going to do a short peek twice, then jump out or slide out wide.
There's a ton that goes into being good at shooters. Feel free to PM if you need any more pointers or ask on here. I'll help if I can. I'm no Enders, but man I try to be.
I’m so. Ps5
