The emphasis on the "Hero" part of the experience is a real let down. BF4 wasn't a true mil-sim either but it felt a lot closer to it than 2042 does. More guns, more gadgets but with more restrictions on combinations, more upgrades for vehicles that more accurately mimic near future capabilities like APS.
It feels like 2042 is purposefully shallower in those areas to even further emphasize the impact of the abilities of which "hero" you play with.
- 4 years ago@TheCompton73 Man.. What the gaming world would pay for a legitimate BF4 style true military shooter. That’s all I’ve seen the community really ask for the last decade. I don’t understand why it’s so complicated
