Hopefully the specialists are all going to be removed and put into their own game mode soon. EA will do the right thing and go back to the old class roots. I’m sure the specialists will turn into a different game mode. If this change isn’t made I’d say definitely dead game by the summer.

The specialist isnt the problem and stop making it as if it was the case .. Specialist are amasing design in their own archetype and loadout system as well its much better and granular for teamplay and squad play ..
The problem is silly design decision and skins and they could have done this silly thing with the old classes system .. They could have sold sillly skins for any of the classes .. Look at planetside 2 it has classes system and yet they resisted to sell siilly crap for years but finally end up seeling silly clown mask with little flowers .and other silly stuff yet its a rigid classes system ...
I have a problem with cosmetics that are ridiculous and this cowboy Mckay thing is really borderline to sillyness

- 4 years ago@Stew360 The specialists is a big problem. Not only does it take away a big part of the battlefield identity and enemy identityfication, they create new problems to map design, map flow and al sorts of balancing issues.

Battlefield True identity is Conquest game mode in a combine arms fashion . Combining Air vs ground vs infantry , Ground vehicles vs Air vs infantry , Infantry vs Air vs Ground vehicles and BF2042 is more a Battefield than BF3 Metro or rush game mode was
BF2042 Conquest 128 is a true BF experience and pretending otherwise is total non sens ...
BF identity as never been defined by flaw classes system . BF identity is top notch vehicles gameplay with great infantry gameplay .. BF 2042 has all that X10 ..- 4 years ago@Stew360 I dissagree, classes has allways been the core of Battlefield infantry gameplay. It creates the classic rock/paper/scissors gameplay and balancing. Even Dice´s promotional materials for previous games mentions this.
That´s what previous battlefield games great infantry gameplay comes from that you speak of and 2042 has none of that.

They bring imbalance, they bring whacky skills and they completely destroy the class system Battlefield was built around.
It may be your opinion that you like specialists, but it's pretty clear from how quickly this game is dying, and the pure backlash they have recieved over multiple social platforms, that they are far more disliked than liked.
