@Stew360 The specialists is a big problem. Not only does it take away a big part of the battlefield identity and enemy identityfication, they create new problems to map design, map flow and al sorts of balancing issues.

- 4 years ago@Stew360 I dissagree, classes has allways been the core of Battlefield infantry gameplay. It creates the classic rock/paper/scissors gameplay and balancing. Even Dice´s promotional materials for previous games mentions this.
That´s what previous battlefield games great infantry gameplay comes from that you speak of and 2042 has none of that. - 4 years ago@Stew360 That's why everyone who plays in vehicles and aircraft hate the specialist system as it allows everyone and their mother to carry a manpad or LAW to the point that they are relegated to sniping with the tank or being engaged in a heartbeat/constantly as an aircraft.
I do agree with you that BF is very much a combined arms experience but the map design, specialists, and (untested...keep that in mind, DICE didn't even test) 128 player counts. They had no idea what they built, how they interacted, and the impact of the scale they chose. They simply threw things together and gave the TLAR (That Looks About Right...*narrator: It wasn't*) approach. The only thing that makes it 10x combined arms is the fact that their spawnrates (and methodololgies to aquire them: some weird * tablet) for vehicles makes it impossible to have any kind of flow of battle as they keep showing up a second after you kill them.
