no you understand it wrong, It is nice that you are a long time BF fan but many other people are also long time BF fan and didn't recieved an invite. As you have said:

You missed out on signing up in other words you was to late and even if you would have signed in there is no guarantee that you would be choosen to do the playtest because you would just be placed in an actual playtester "pool".
