make your game fun and enjoyable and people will play it without needing neuron activation missions/cosmetics to play said game....
DICE better move quickly before Respawn outperform them yet again
1. Server Browser/Persistent Servers/Persistent Lobbies - if you can't even play the way you want, why play at all? MM deters people from playing. No one wants to spend half of their playing time in the queue to play the game.
2. Performance/Hit Reg - This game is too mature, now 7+ after launch to have hit reg and performance issues. So once you are in the game, it should run smoothly and give you a good gaming experience. There is some major desync going on.
3. More actual content - 1 new map, 1 new Specialist, and 1 new weapon (I don't count the XBow) in 7+ months? Cosmetics are not content. Just like #1, players like choices, there are so many weapons and gadgets in the BF universe that you don't even need to come up with anything new. Just re-use older weapons, vehicles, etc. People would applaud you.
4. Maps - Same as #4. We need more maps, and if we have #1, we can find servers with our favorite map rotation. Port as many classic maps into AOW as possible. We don't even need new maps. Bring back more classics ASAP. Also, continue to work on "fixing" the current maps with more cover, flow, and grit (they all look too clean).
5. Destruction/Levolution - Where is it? This is a staple of the BF franchise and where you set yourself apart from other games that have indestructible windows. By the end of the round, structures should be completely leveled like in past titles.
The sad part is all of these are "legacy" features and should've been in the base game at launch. We are not asking for anything extra or new at this point.
Honorable Mention: Squad/Team/Platoon functionality (Squad Orders and Acks, Team swap option/autobalance, Platoons and emblems).

A good summation of what DICE needs to do to turn BF2042 round.
If they were to implement all of the above there would be a lot less frustration and a lot more players.
There is probably a limited timescale left to act on the above, as new games are released more players will quickly drift away unless BF2042 is able to satisfy their gaming needs. imho it is currently falling short on delivering.
- 4 years ago@Adamonic Please god no autobalance. Always seems I am the one to get moved to the losing side lol.

as I wrote half a year ago, only pc players will remain, and so it happened. You can go to the xbox games page and read in the reviews that people don't want to play with pc players. Played a few games this week and didn't meet any console players. With crossplay disabled in the lobby 1-5 players. In whose sick head did it come to do crossplay with pc? People, on the contrary, left the pc to play on equal terms...
There is no desire to play even on a new map.

I see tons of console players when I play. So I don't where youre getting that info from.
I don't think I've ever been in a rmatch that wasn't pretty even numbers of PC and console players.
