If 2042 used Unreal Engine
Maybe DICE could build more than 1 map every 3 months. I'd hate to see all games using the same engine but I doubt it's this easy to build maps in Frostbite.

If EA has to pay royalties for using a 3rd part engine, there’s no way in hell they’ll do it.
They’re more likely to have an engine built from scratch in-house if they should conclude that Frostbite isn’t suitable any longer.
