If EA DICE Was Trying To Copy COD: Warzone, They Missed The Point.
Some are arguing that Battlefield 2042's Specialists were created because EA executive/s wanted Operatives from COD: Warzone/ COD: Modern Warfare, I disagree. I think the EA executive/s wanted Apex Legends with a military theme on it to capitalize on the community with random skins from time to time.
I honestly think COD: Warzone is more military (stylized) than Battlefield has been in years. COD: Warzone is more or less in my eyes like Battlefield 4 with popular globalized characters franchises with no destruction. Basically anything that was and/ or is popular turned into a skin for characters to use while in-game, but more towards the scarier side if that makes sense. Now Battlefield in the last couple of years has been a theme about a certain history point, changed to fit the narrative (more or less).
Sure there are small resemblances between Battlefield 2042's Specialists and COD: Warzone/ COD: Modern Warfare's Operators, but with Battlefield 2042's Specialists being locked to specific gadgets, that theory gets tossed out very quickly (In COD: Warzone the player has full control of the loadout while using any of the Operators, but with Battlefield 2042 Specialists, the player is stuck using those gadgets).
So, yeah if EA DICE were trying to copy COD: Warzone, they need to go back and play the title again, it's not at all the same. Battlefield 2042 main 128 player section is mostly BattleApex, more or less and/ or something alike.
