Because the reasons given by Dice are stupid and demonstrably wrong, but maybe you could come up with a reason why this is a good thing?
The official reason given was 'it should promote PTFO' when in fact it does the opposite.
It's already been mentioned by others: kicking isn't inclusive.
@ElliotLHThat's exactly Dice's reason. It's so woke and stupid. You don't keep the rotten apples in the same bushel. They'll rot the whole bushel. This is the only way that maybe some prone 2 objs back sniper or tank hog staying back at the base learns that that dog won't hunt!
Not being able to kick, punishes those who PTFO and rewards those who do not. Plain and simple.

To be precise: everyone EXCEPT Dice. And even that is for sure not correct as there are some developers at Dice that acutally play the game and most certainly would also like to have this feature available.
This kind of reminds me of the discussion about the scoreboard (if anyone still remembers -- it was also Dice that thought it would be acceptable to leave that out).
