@VBALL_MVPImo not so much fun numbers. One of the biggest gaming platforms. And they have high promotion/commercials when new game releases. Exact numbers are a bit fun yes but conclusions can be made.
Steam is like less than 20% of the PC base though, many may have figured out they didn't have to log into Steam and instead went straight through Origin or EpicGames Store. Since we don't have server player count stats across all platforms it is literally impossible to determine if there is a max exodus or not. Don't be fooled by the loud complainers here with their multiple accounts, the forums actually is the minority. It only consists of a very small fraction of the player base voicing their opinions. The majority don't join forums or disscusion boards to share their opinion; they either silently play the game or move onto a different game.
Also it is fair to note there was a huge dip in BF4 at launch as well due to its game breaking issues. After the major patch fixes, and DLC launch, player base increased again. Heck BF4 population spiked when BF2042 was close to launch, based on that one could make a conclusion that more people started buying BF4 again or that people enjoyed BF4 suddenly over BFV but you and I both no that wasn't the reason behind the spike.

@VBALL_MVP I'm curious as to where you're getting this figure (honestly not a jab). Steam has always had the lions' share of PC installs over the past decade and with Battlefield's return to Steam there's little reason to think Origin would maintain a hegemony of BF installs.

It was in a recent article that talked about the whole drop but in it they also acknowledge that it was only a percentage of PC players and acknowledged about Orign and Epic. They had a percentage on it, but for the life of me I can't find that exact article now.
Look I am about objective data and right now I don't have a link to support that so I will withdraw my percentage for the time being. But I still stand that it is not the entire player base.
