@VBALL_MVPwhere did you pull that 20%? And bf4 spiked because of modern era. Even I played bf4 after knowing 2042 is modern era.
The last stats we have are from when someone pulled up BF1 stats about 4 months after release.
PC population was 10% of the player base.
So if we use the last known stats from the first few months of release of BF1 we can speculate that steam doesn't even account for 10% of the playerbase.
We can also assume that PC players are also using Origin which supports the argument that Steam accounts for less than 10% of the playerbase.
So to sum up, using Steam numbers in your argument is not helping your argument.
So in conclusion please refute my opinion that Steam is not in any way representive of the overall online playerbase.
"Battlefield 2042 Player Count Dropping on Steam
It seems that Battlefield 2042 is continuing to drop in player count on Steam for PC. And while not all users will be playing on the platform, it’s sure to be representative of the overall player response to the game."

This might be a refresher about all the other bad launches and drop in player base in the beginning. Even after all of that people call some of the titles listed the "best of battlefield"

- Thursdayz_Child5 years agoRising Rookie@Man_iLoveFishing you seem to be insinuating that for some reason steam players are the only ones that dislike the game and that the whims of players on one platform.... despite the fact that they are all playing the exact same game with the exact same faults.... is in no way indicative of the games favorability on other platforms...

@Thursdayz_Child Exactly, if one of the biggest platforms on pc player count drops, why wouldn't others drop? Because on origin game feels somehow better, or or on console? It's not about accurate count, more about the point. Steam is just an example. Don't think other platforms are somehow "happier".

Agree, it would be strange if the attitude towards BF2042 were to be different on stream than other platforms. It is probably quite representative.
