I hear you @Daeyon-be and @cso7777 ,
As you really called out some of the absolute base fundamentals that makes a FPS game attractive and that keep the players wanting to come back for more, again and again.
...and that BF2042 is still not delivering on those absolute must-haves.
Really hard to read some of the sincere and well-meant posts here.
Summarizing it into a few but very telling words, like: It is simply not fun to play.
If there was some fun in this game then we would all be ok to be exposed to the occasional bug or missing features here and there. But when there is just agony and frustration, then its hard to take day after day, release update after the next, season release after the next. And none of the core issues are getting fixed despite they were raised since the first playtesting we went through long before game release.
The gameplay is boring, frustrating and no fun.
And no improvements being made to it, that really matters.
You choose CQ for example, you wait for the server which is fair enough then you have to wait for 30 secs to start, you then have to wait for animations, you then have to wait for further animations you then have to wait for your craft to spawn with another animation with a stupid hand wave with your squad.
Take way too long for the game to start, it also takes too long for respawns, takes way too long at the EOR.
This game is becoming annoying and tedious to play.

@SithMetal71 I agree, it is tedious and not justified for a long time to change locations between rounds. You need to remove all these animations and immediately after the end of the round, select the next server.

I tried to get back into the game after this patch, I still find hitreg bad, I had hoped the new mouse fix would help with this but was wrong. I'll try it again next patch but doubt there will be any progress.

Again one of those areas that makes this game sooo annoying to play.
Matter of fact, not play, but instead sitting and wasting soo much time again and again in between the action we actually seek from it.
Like as you mention the endless tirade of meaningless 10-12 splash screens that we are forced to sit through from one game round ends till the next start until we arrive where we finally deploy our soldier into the next game...
Is it just EA/DICE that tries to cover up the inadequate server functionalities, including the terrible poor match making? So somebody at EA/DICE thought it would be great and such a cool feature for the players to sit and waste time through the same meaningless soundbites and 10-12 splash screens again and again between each round?
Talking about wasting time, we also have the issue of the very big maps and it takes 5 minutes of soldier running from spawn to get to any enemies and find some shooting action. And not enough transportation vehicles available in general... Its just endless the list of bad designs and lack of proper testing/implementation.

Just joined 3 matches right at the end of the match managed to fire one shot in one game before it ended.
First match tonight Helicopters like most matches dominating clipping through structures etc with no damage.
Then we have snipers loads of them who play a game to sit in a corner all game every game never helping their squad!!

Played a few rounds today, just to complete the weekly missions.
Start by being put in an almost finished round...
Next round, getting one-shotted all the time and almost every action lags (like shooting, sprinting etc).
And the endless waiting before and after rounds, the animations and voice-overs becomes disgusting after a few times (and we have seen them a lot by now).
But at least I got my weekly missions and unlocked the P90, now I can take a break from the game, at least until next Tuesday...

Sounds to me that you guys overplay and that's when the irritation sets in.
I usually find by the end of the weekend I try and eek out a few final rounds to feed my addiction and I start getting more annoyed than normal when that noob in a chopper thinks he's skilled because he can harras my tank and I can't do a damn thing about it because Dice gave me no choices to defend or fight back.
Or when I see my NTW-50 bullet appear to go right through every enemy I am targeting until eventually someone notices me and kills me.
Or the server loads Exposure 64 3 times in a row.
Etc, etc, etc
Normally when I'm fresh those situations don't annoy me as much but when I overplay they cause me to curse enough that my wife comes into the room and asks me what's wrong, lol!
Take a break, I rarely play in the week and then every weekend I start fresh and ready to do it all over again.

I am now just playing to complete weeklies. The game has become too annoying with the waiting to keep me interested. I get bored very easy and 2042 is tedious and boring as hell especially with the waiting with the animations, EoR, Beginning of round and so on...
I do not remember a previous BF title that was this tedious between rounds including all the annoying parts that is mentioned.
The game is not worth my time, i have a good game then the game ends only to throw up best players, then best what ever, then whatever again then waiting and waiting.
