I would like to create my own weapons in game maybe these could be split up into multiple parts with different damage for each parts but have a universal overall damage and then when you unlock more you can add to them maybe be able to change the colour style and so on. This would bring a sense of personality to each players weapon. I am unsure on how hard this would be to do technically but just a thought.

I wouldn't want this in the main conquest / breakthrough / rush servers - ie All out Warfare.
However, I wouldn't have a problem if it was in a separate conquest / breakthrough / rush category and available for custom games - ie portal, and I would probably give it a whirl once in a while.

On kill cam, where it shows players weapon info, there is a gun with an arrow above it. is that what this is?
@EA_Atic I haven’t played tarkov emm maybe similar to cod gunsmith but like a wee bit more customisable for example mix and match different parts of different weapons.
@Ga-Knomboe_Boy yeah would be fun for it’s own mode I wouldn’t want this in all game modes .
sounds like an even bigger balance nightmare...

The Plus system allows you to swap barrels, grips, sights and ammo while in-game. Check your button mappings for which button the Plus menu/system is assigned to.
I believe the arrow on the kill card indicated the killer had a 'proficiency' for that weapon. You may want to skim the Blog post on Classes if you aren't familiar with proficiencies.
@X-Sunslayer-X Yeah that would be the tricky part in my head I can’t really figure out how you would balance it.
