In-game chat ban?

Question

Since when can someone get banned for typing in the game chat? Since yesterday I can no longer be seen in the chats of the game.... So I can no longer communicate with my squad mates and team mates find that quite sad that there is something for that nowadays!!!! I would like to know how I can get rid of this because it is at the expense of in-game communication. I literally can't do anything anymore. Voice chat which I have never used, I have been unfairly banned, no one hears me or can see my chats. ............

@Steff_BlacksonIf you hit H i believe you can set chat to be disabled. I don't think you're banned you would have gotten an email.

@Steff_BlacksonSettings are stored in MyDocuments BF2042 folder you could try moving that folder to the desktop and restart BF2042, the folder will be recreated with default settings and see if that helps. You of course would have to redo all your in-game settings.

Go and look at your settingsI had the same issue for some reason it keeps getting turned off by default for me.

Hmmm strange, nothing has happened yet. I just tried that with my buddies, but they don't see anything I type, but I do see what they type. I think I'll have to delete my game and download it again. I have already cleared my cache in the hope that it might solve the problem, but thanks for the information!
