- RMEChief3 years agoLegend@AngrySquid270 I had no clue about most of that. The doxing stuff should be dealt with and directed towards those that did it.
Just like anything, address the problem head on. A blanket statement doesn't solve anything, and at the end of the day, normally empowers knuckleheads to double down on stupid activity.
All the things you listed should have been addressed swiftly and directly. @Prof3ss0r_M1k3 I suspect there's probably some vague statements in the EULA for EA/DICE to do whatever they please regarding player access.
DICE could flip the switch and turn off all of the 2042 servers tomorrow without reason. While we may have the expectation to access, I don't think the EULA entitles it.

@AdamonicThis is one of the few areas I wish the world governments would start policing alot harder.
Major game devs have been screwing gamers for many years now. Yet when poopoo hits the fan, they run and hide behind their predatory T&Cs when players get fed up with their BS.There must be regulations for state of games that are delivered at full AAA prices today. If that game does not meet the requirement, it must be recalled, purchases refunded and development continued.
Sure its not right to go overboard with harassment and bullying. But don't act as if those are completely unjustified. You've caused the outrage, so do everyone a favor - Apologise and start fixing the mess you've created.
Good games would NEVER EVER allow it's devs to get bullied. - NazT553 years agoSeasoned Ace
I don't condone harassment but when a dev delivers the bare minimum and stops listening to the community on what they want and think they know what's best for the community then it's time to vote with the wallet and just don't buy the next game.

LOL like any dev or person responsible for bf reads what anyone posts.
If they did we wouldn't have this broken mess.
Oh and loving not been able to see how many people are on a flag.
A bug introduced in a live service game but you can't remove it. - JacquesVabres3 years agoNew Veteran
I am very disappointed with bf 2042 but nothing justifies harassing and intimidating the developers.
Justifying this idiotic cowardly behavior because the game is bad is so pathetic.
And the developers do what we ask of them: they meet the requirements of EA and marketinng.- Dev's home addresses have been posted to Twitter.
- Someone was fabricating 'evidence' that one of the Reddit mods was a pedophile.
is this normal for you??
- UP_LordPlumber3 years agoSeasoned Ace@Ai-Fluffy A bug introduced with 4.0, 4 or 5 patches ago? Still hasn't been fixed. No dev response, no ETA, no updates, nothing. But hey, we got new parachute SFX and new electric vehicle engine sound. So that counts as a win, right?

i think noone disputes that harrasment is bad, but by god DICE you reap what you sow.....

You still justify this harassment. We can blame the developers, criticize them and if we are not happy we do not buy the next battlefield or EA games. People are criticizing today but they will be the first to pre-order or buy Day One. This is your "weapon".
The developers are not solely responsible, it is EA who decide.
Exemple with Battlefront 2 : it's not the developers who made a case with the loot boxes, it's EA. After the scandal, it was the developers of Dice who had to work like crazy to correct the problem because the game was disigned around micro transactions. Besides a large number of Dice developers left afterwards.
All that to say that in a game, there are the developers but above all the publisher like EA.
- @Dystopique Wow, that's pretty sadistic. I know DICE/EA deserve backlash for a bad product with problems that are consequently being ignored (as in: never being communicated about nor addressed) but there are limits. These are way over any line.
