@Straatford87who is on the current player council? Is there a listing? How do you apply?
There is no list for it. We reach out to players within the community who we think are a good fit whenever an opportunity comes up where we are looking for feedback on a given subject.
mmh and why is this not public that there is a council?
I think to be transparent is an important step for DICE now, many players have lost the trust in the Developer Team.
Here are many players which try to give feedback, make suggestions, do Bug reports and also bring temporally fixes (like a workaround for the wrong used path for the cache folder)
And then you read things like that there are more responses from Devs on reddit or other social media like Twitter then in their official forum, this is very frustrating.
Here are many Players who love BF2042 and the concept of this game (beside the bugs, performance issues and Qol). These Players are still here day for day and with the threads and discussion they keep this community alive.
So maybe DICE should consider that they should also be more active here.
Maybe I’m too old, maybe I’m a Boomer but I think I don’t need a Facebook, Twitter or Reddit Account to get information about a game when there is an official Forum.
Yes, you are active once or twice a week and I appreciate this effort and your work (This is only my impression)
but still it feels wired when you have still the Briefing Videos for Season one in your mind and here yeah we talked with the community (for example i never got a survey to fill out)
Someone wrote here in the forum wrote something like (from my mind not a real quote) > “All is late and delayed but still the game feels like that all things are rushed and unfinished”
I think this is a good summary.
So now get a break and then i farm my last two mission for this week
Well, it's not a secret either that there is a Player Council because I just talked about it with you here - hehe. The "Council" isn't a set list of players and we don't meet on a set cadence.
We also try not to focus solely on forums vs other spaces. It's not a contest. Our players are everywhere, so we go where we see them talking and participate in the discussion if we can. That means that sometimes we answer on Twitter, and other days we answer on forums or maybe on Reddit. Ultimately everyone is part of the community and I don't see the benefit in fighting over which area of the internet is better.
With that said, I'm sorry if I haven't been active enough here. I'll try to jump in more often where I can.
Good luck on the new Missions, I hope you will enjoy them! 🙌
