Irish tier 1 skin goal needs adjusted

The skin requires the player to destroy 3,200 projectiles with Irish’s shootdown sentinel I’ve been specifically going for this skin for almost a total of 20 hours now and have only obtained 768/3,200 which is reticulum considering the other tier 1 skins I’ve acquired for Casper, rao, falck, paik, angel each only took like 8 hours max so Irish’s goal for the skin either needs to be lowered or changed altogether because the way objectives and maps are designed it’s nearly impossible to get a decent amount every game it just doesn’t happen even when you do what I’ve been doing which is try and bait explosives into vehicles I set up or when I gather near friendly tanks even then it’s not enough nobody uses that many missiles and grenades in this game they just don’t. Also dozer & Sundance may also be an issue I’ve yet to play either but those also seem ridiculous I see with most tier 1 skins all that was done was a 0 was added to the goal of the lower tier skin and in some specialists case this is way too much example being dozer goes from 80 shield kills to 800 and Sundance goes from 120 to 1,200 smart explosive kills which is just ridiculous and needs to be re-considered and for those wondering why I even care or who tell me they should focus on more important things you are right there are priorities this is just feedback coming from a completion it’s who likes to earn everything so just take that into account.

  • Completely agree with @Insane_Playzz_8 - the 3200 projectiles destroyed is way too many for a tool that barely gets a look in compared to others that can be ranked up without even thinking about it. It would be much better being around 1200 as it sometimes doesn't even score in a match. Please reduce it.

  • @Insane_Playzz_8some are easier than other. Falck, Angel, Rao and Casper are much easier to do, for sure. But There are even harder ones like Sundance with really inconsistent grenades and exactly same requirement.
I wish it would be brough more up to same level. But Irish is on easier side (I got it so I can dudge on that one at least). Go in 128 breackthrough and you will get it relatively fast if you are smart with placing those. In this regard 3200 is adequate number really. Others should be brought to that level (some lover, some higher).

True, some of specialists and guns / vehicles, needs to be readjusted.

Irish's 3,200 projectiles are painful, but after a while it's fun tbh, though I would still prefer that it have something to do with Irish shield, like 3,200 deflect bullets from shield, that would be much cooler.

Here's a tip for Irish T1. (tip more like for 1,040/3,200)

    Go SOLO/CO-OP [AI] on Hourglass.

Spawn in MAV, go to the A2, and hope for enemy MAV.

Put down Irish APS-36, next to your MAV.

You can use BOLTE, or any other vehicle, though more vehicle health the better.

Time to time, you will need to repair your vehicle.

You can try to face infantry [AI] with rocket launchers, but MAV vs MAV method is much faster.

Air vehicles works too, if your risky maniac.

After all that, you will stop on 1,040/3,200 (SOLO cap limit).

Then you will need to go and play online matches.

Fastest / best method would be; on Breakthrough 128, put APS-36 on choke points, or if your on MAV spawning people, put your APS-36 near it. GL 👍

@Dedzigs tbh I feel Irish is one of the most fair T1 in the list tbh. And it is rather useful T1 as you are supporting a lot.

@Insane_Playzz_8 As for grind choke point I would suggest Kaleidoscope breakthrough any objective inside the building. Either attack or defence, just put it near the entrance (but a little to the side so it won't be destroyed too fast.
Hourglass C point (in that building with the staircase). Then the latest sector just defend the building putting 2 somewhere near the entrance.
Orbital in the corridors and the tunnel area are both amazing places.
Discarded on C point (both entrances) should also get you a fair amount of projectiles.
Manifest on A points on ships just put it either on front and back of the ship or just in the middle of the objective.
Renewal - IDK, the map is too open for that. Maybe B point is worth to try if you are defending. As attacker just put 2 in front of camping transport (or sit in that transport) and bait enemies to launch rockets at you. And then D point inside the buildings (especially the very entrance) for both sides.

I tried to give some tips for each map though some are better fitted than others. In general putting it around objectives just helps and will get you to T1 rather fast.

@DuaneDibbley I had fun playing Irish. Every time I see "projectile destroyed" I know I helped my team and maybe saved few tickets. For me it was the way to learn strength and weakness of this particular character. Where he shines and what places are not so much and better to avoid.
I didn't abandon the game for the sake of doing mastery. For me it went alongside playing around strength of the character. It is the same as in previous BFs if you take medic you pick CQ battles and try to avoid long shots. Or if you take recon you try to go for long shots and etc.
Placing sentries smart allowed some great defences because I denied enemy's explosives.
I hope that answers your question.

The APS gadget needs a consistency buff.

It is not unusual for the rockets to still do their damage to the target  with or without the gadget getting credit

    Whatever makes you happy. 😉
I don't have to understand it (and I don't), but if someone is willing to do that and gets some satisfaction from T1'ing anything in this game, more power to you.
And at least those sentries might indeed help the team from time to time if they mitigate incoming damage by explosives.
