I remember in BF3 and BF4, Milsim was a pretty popular thing. Private lobbies for training new recruits and you're assigned one role whether that be sniper, pilot, medic, engineer, support, etc.. Single-life rules and primary objectives... following the structure and formations of actual military. Clans organizing matches with other clans. Would definitely still do this but in-game chat would be a must and being that everything is cross-platform, I'm not sure you'd be able to communicate in the effective way that milsim ops require...Thoughts anyone?

Some people are missing the point of your post. As far as I am aware the only way to make it close to the custom game modes in bf3/4 that came close to milsim is in Portal though Portal is slowly drowning

The only one I can think of is ARMA.

@RiffLife81 BF AS NEVER BEEN A MIL SIM do not think project reality mod was vanilla BF .. BF as always been arcady and over the top unrealistic but grounded ... If you want mil sim like game play Squad , Arma , even insurgency sandstorm not BF

In Battlefield? No. Plenty of games out there that aim for a more sim like gameplay though.

@RiffLife81 I saw a 2042 milsim video on YouTube yesterday so somebody is trying at least. As for communication I assume discord would be main tool for this on pc.

@RiffLife81 Totally agree! In game voice is a must in my opinion because I usually play with randoms. But I would think clans playing together would use discord or the likes anyways.
