It's like selling a car with no engine/electric motors and they've not even given you some gas/batteries.Due to the fact that jets are the only vehicles in the game, where the progression is based on "Destroy X vehicles to unlock (...)"-only and not "Kills, Assists, Vehicle destroys, ..." like anything else, gives me the hot hint, that the responsible dev has a pure and deep hate towards jets. Otherwise there´s no explanation for this.
Also jets are heavily limited in their Air-to-Ground capabilities. There´re AGMs, which can be countered and then there´s the unlockable 30mm that only does minimal damage to ground vehicles. The 25mm does nothing at all. And the main cannon have such an insane spread, that any hit ground target is purely based on luck and not because you aimed well.
In my eyes, jets are only there for decoration. Either this or just because of making that stupid meme reveal trailer.

Since they copied the rendezook meme from BF3... Why not make the Jets like it was in BF3....
Flying is dead! The planes mechanics are horrendous. I hate flying in 2042, it’s just not fun anymore. They’ve made a massive error changing the game like this.
It’s when you go back and fly on old games that makes you realise how bad things are
- @daniellematti Yes it's really bad in BF2042 - But they can fix this monstrosity.
- @SkyL4Ncer21 Dont understand all the complaints about jets they have the biggest advantage on the map.. They are almost impossible to take out with AA. They should limit the amount of flares on jets. AA is pretty much useless on them. Get a lock and all they do is run out of range until flares reset.
