Since Battlefield 2042 only supports xbox controllers and dose not support Joysticks or flight controllers . Work around this by using joystick to control mouse .
Set mouse as pilot controls in Keybinds , then use something like JoytoKey https://joytokey.net/en/download
This was easy to set up and now I can use joystick in the game. FINALLY !
note: I did try other programs to use joystick to control mouse, this one was best as it has sensitivity, speed, and threshold control .
As well as other features like macros, key stokes, open programs . I just set it up in the mouse tab if you look at attachment , those are my settings
I know many people are frustrated about this, every Battlefield game since day one has supported flight . joystick controllers . Until now .
Hope this can help some people enjoy the game a bit better, I know it has made a word of difference for me . I would ask the forum staff to make this a sticky .
Why should Battlefield 2042 suport generic usb joystick? Generetion facebook does NOT know how to use it, they must not learn anything else that theyr masters serve to them.
Totally wonderful solution for an issue that should not exist. In this day and age there is absolutely zero reason to not have native joystick controls in a so-called "AAA title" where aircraft feature heavily. Utterly ridiculous.
I just discovered Joytokey today, and gave it a whirl. I set everything accordingly (mouse movement = joystick movement) but it didn't seem to take effect. It also made all of my aircraft pull back aggressively until they crashed.
Any ideas by chance/
good old EA pretty smart, lets make a video game with planes and heli's but make sure people can't play with joysticks, it has to be done through a third party app
