So we were told this would come in Season 1. On Thursday, we will start Week 6 and next Wednesday will be the halfway point of the season. What are the odds we see a map update by next Wednesday?

@Adamonic If DICE keeps the same pace through to S2, probably. S2 will be similar in content scope, may have some more of the "mid-season improvements" we're seeing like improved movement animations in S1, and will likely include the updated Renewal by the end of the season.

I'm just wondering where the Portal guns fit into S1, since they haven't said anything about them since they were announced.

My guess is they will trickle out a few of the portal guns with each season. Cheap and easy "content".

There have been no Portal guns in AoW in Season 1. DICE stated in their May developer update this was going to happen in the future. My point is that given how sparse the content has been for this game, and the obvious lack of employee resources/budget maintaining it, they will slowly trickle these out over the next few seasons. Because it's cheap to implement.

@Adamonic easy answer according to my calculations:
68 Metacritic score - 2,0 user score = 66 / 8 Months since release = 8,25 - 6 weeks since S1 started = 2,25 * 2 for new weapons since release = 4,5 - 3 for meaningful updates to the game = 1,5 * 2 for new vehicles = 3 - 3 for the absymal player retention = 0

Thanks for the reminders. I guess I was thinking back to the original S1 release date and not the delayed one.

Now the next question is, do you think S2 starts the day after S1 ends or are they going to gap it?

@Adamonic they have to otherwise they will lose more and more credibility, imho they can't afford another delay.

For me they have no excuse for any more delay.

@AdamonicI think season two starts once that timer in game is up.

I am really hoping in the next few weeks we get new info on the August update (crossing fingers for portal gun integration) and really hoping for more info on what is to come in season 2.... With what I hope they say we have 2 new maps and 2 new portal maps plus 4 new vehicles (because it's really just two kinda like season 1, 2 helis but it's really one) and 1 new gun for every class of gun.... I know I'm dreaming big here. Maybe even mention where they are going with specialists and they are implementing a server browser finally. Well now that I look at this, it's probably more a miracle for an that but a man can dream.

It may well be a miracle, but there would be a lot of very happy BF players as a result.
