I don’t know about m&k. I bought a console to het away from that stuff and play on the couch on a big tv. It would further complicate things no?
M&K players on console then would have to be put against PC players..
People are lobbying for no cross play (Myself included) …m&k players say aim assist is cheating…controller players say PC has advantage over controllers…
I would just have it like this:
If you want m&k go PC
If you want controller go console
Delete crossplay, PC vs PC only, console vs console. Done.
Otherwise…lots of trouble. No?
@JOGAGATYA I will welcome as much choices as possible but priority for consoles should be connecting PS and Xbox not giving console players opportunity to play m&k. DICE please do not deprive console players from console experience for the sake of crossplay.
Xbox is pretty much deprieved of it in the next gen version because sometimes half of the server are bots when crossplay is off. The only solution is old gen version.

if you dont want to play with m&k than don't but others (or the most players) want m&k in battlefield 2042 .
i hope that dice will support m&k in 2042
And everyone will play with what they want !And i hope there will be a large enough player base for these lobbies:
- PC vs PC
- Console vs Console only on controller
- Console with M&K vs Other console with M&K and vs PC
Is this realistic?
I will tell you what is not realistic though:
Console players on controller vs anyone playing with a M&K.

You do realize input based matchmaking exists right ? that way controller players can just play with each other (from both PC and consoles) and no one is alienated, while people who prefer to play with k&m can also play the game and not be handicapped by controller, as far as your playerbase point i'm not sure if you people have been living under a rock but cod has had k&m support on console and input matchmaking since MW19, do you think that hurts the playerbase or does it actually encourage more people to play the game since it's the only modern shooter that includes it ? I've noticed this k&m phobia from console players who don't want to bring it into the ecosystem while at the same time complaining about not wanting to play with PC players to find lobbies, this is literally how you solve that issue so you don't have bot filled lobbies on controller (instead filled with PC / PS5 players on controller).

True, they can fix aim assist how they wantr!
Mouse and Keyboard is faster gameplay and it will never be fair with controller vs mouse and keyboard...
DICE You kill your console players overall, but if you want only pc base, go for it!
if you want big playerbase, do mouse and keyboard possible for consoles...

@JOGAGATYA Sorry to tell you, but shooters was made to play using mouse and not gamepads. So, a lot of people is already adopting adapters line Cronus and others to play on PS and Xbox with M/K.
But, I understand you have the right to play using gamepad, against other players with the same preference, and it's ok! Just like CoD already does, EA can implement game sessions with players with the same option as you! Simple as that! You don't need to restrict options. You just need to have people with the same options, together!
- JOGAGATYA3 years agoSeasoned Ace@steeveaki I like to play with a controller on the couch connected to a big TV. That is why i purchased a playstation. I don't like to play with a mouse. I think lots of people feel the same way who own a console.
In the past there was a console version and there was a PC version of the game. It was all fine. We didn't have to discuss the mouse advantage/aim assist advantage.
Win-win.
We should continue that way. 🙂 - BgobbleD3 years agoNew Vanguard

We should continue that way. 🙂Have you ever tried Gyro Aim on MW2 or some other games that have it? It allows for much more "mouse-like" reactions and precision and because of that, it does not need nor rely on Aim Assist. And no, its nothing that requires waving your arms around like the Wii days lol. But it allows gamepads and M&K players to be on a much more level playing field without AA being a thing. Also, I find Gyro Aim (when implemented decently) to be a much better gaming experience on gamepads due to you having a lot more intuitive control of your character.
