Kick
Need a kick button in squads. enough of the catering to the woke.

This game needs proper squad management (join, leave, create, lock), if these actions were there, there would be no need to kick anyone. Whatever we have now is no where near adequate for a 128-player squad-based FPS game.

@Anobixwhen other leave, they will be put into your squad. New players joining will be in your squad.
Kick is horribly abused by players
how is it abused?

The squad management in BF2042 definitely needs an upgrade / rework that's for sure. 👍

Yep, just reiterating this.
On the occasion that we have more than 4 people trying to play together (unbelievable, I know!) the other people can at least join a game by right-click joining on a friend and end up in the same game. But there isn't a way to do that with another party of people. If the person that got in, could create a new squad and the other one-offs join that squad they could actually work together. At this point it's a complete crap-shoot if they can work together or just get partnered with randoms.

We do that almost every night, but what is required to play together on the same team is to join with the first 4, then split one person off and create a new party and have the other join the two parties that exist then.
Which is indeed a major PAIN and will leave the last in queue sometimes wait a long time before all are on the server.
A second way that we now use is to do the following:
Create all parties from the beginning and then the party leaders do the old 3-2-1-click countdown and all click to start searching for a new game at the same time. Given that there are so few players playing the game now means that you always end up on the same server. If you are on opposing teams and want to play together all ALT-F4 out and start the procedure again until all end up on the same team. We have fast PCs, so each iteration does not take too long, but it is still a VERY bad experience nonetheless.
Yeah, that's how we've had to do it as well, and it is incredibly frustrating. Especially just bouncing in/out of the queue until they align, but always happens that someone misses hitting escape or whatever and rinse and repeat. This could all be so much easier...
So let me get it straight. So kicking someone from a squad is some sort of harassment but everybody in the squad leaving and leaving the guy alone is not? That is, sorry to say, stupid. This is not a game for kids, we don't need a company's paternalism. It was not a problem before, why is it now? I was already kicked from a squad, multiple times in BFV and absolutely didn't care, it is just someone's opinion, it's just a freaking game. If someone gets hurt by that probably should be looking for treatment.
Face it, Dice borked the entire squad concept in COD 2042.
When a slug gets kicked from enough squads for being useless maybe the player will actually learn?
As of now there is zero incentive for squad play. The ability to kick useless squad members out has been a staple in BF since inception.

Nope. Kick is highly abused.
You can leave the squad
I disagree, vehemently. If I make a squad and have 2 friends join and am waiting on the 3rd and a rando joins I should be able to kick them like in previous games.
