The silence from DICE is probably the sign for us all to give up on this game and/or DICE all together.The communication at the beginning around launch was such a positive change from the BFV days where we would get little to no information. I had some hope for a better live service experience than BFV. After the 'recent' holiday break it seems they dialed it back to the point of basically being nonexistent. I can only assume this is due to the poor retention numbers and sales figures. I believe a little more communication with the community would go a long way to giving some hope towards a game franchise we all love. At least an official road map would give us an idea on where this game is heading.I feel like we've been given another trello board. Changes are coming SOON. They probably don't have the tech. On and on we go.

@HJ_Spacewar I honestly feel like they have moved on to the next iteration of "Battlefield" this one is a flop by almost any metric, and they know it.

@AdamonicAfter the open beta they already had enough feedback to understand that they had big issues and they must have known that the launch would fail hard.

The main reason why this game failed is it just fundamentally wasn't a "Battlefield" title.It is a confusing mishmash of popular trends and game modes, trying to appeal to all and ended up being universally dis-liked by nearly everyone.And yes, the lack of communication sucks.

Glad to see DICE is still lying about wanting to communicate and engage with the community.They've had nearly three full months and we've seen nothing. Monthly blog posts that are a whole lot of nothing, no information about what's coming in future updates, the "feedback loop" was a waste of time.Y'all talk a lot about wanting to communicate, but y'all are literally the ones in control over whether you do or not. Either admit that you don't want to communicate and engage with the community or, at the very least, stop lying and saying you want to.Because at this point it's a lie. Plain and simple.

DICE leadership doesn't give a crap about this game and it's obvious. DICE as a studio has done precisely nothing at launch to indicate that this game is a priority, that they give a crap, that they've learned anything, or that they want to put any effort into delivering consumers the product that EA's marketing team sold us on.
This isn't to crap on DICE staff, this is to crap on DICE leadership, who continue to seem to be beyond useless and learn nothing as the bumble from one rushed, buggy, incomplete launch to the next.

@edgecrusherO0 Most of the management from 2042s development cycle has moved on by now.

But it seems like the new management hasn't really improved anything (yet), we got no information on what to expect from the game in the future.

Something is seriously wrong with Dice, perhaps the company should just be killed by EA and BF should be put on hold for some time.

@HJ_Spacewar This is actually a big problem.

Everybody wants the game to be fixed, but the existing content (maps) are really bad and nothing new is being released for some time.

At this point content is the biggest problem, no fixes will bring players back to a game with very little and very bad content.

On the other hand, if they do not fix the game the new content will flop hard and it will all be a waste.

It actually seems more like they should refund the season battlepasses and kill whats left of the game, it is already pretty painful and it will only get worse from here.

Kek, EA just canceled their annual EA Play Live event that took place during E3 every year. I imagine they were hoping to use BF2042 to anchor any announcements since most other projects are a ways off. Guess things must be going worse than we thought and Respawn/BioWare aren't ready to show anything new about their projects.

@edgecrusherO0 it must really really be bad. Zero communication since mid-December, and another quarter wrapping up at the end of March. We may see the plug really pulled within the first week or two in April. This forum will probably get deleted.

@Adamonic Hey now, we had the Feb blog post letting us know that they really care and to be excited about the "feedback loop"!

And then the March post with the start of the "feedback loop" that was remarkably pointless and, at least for me, raised further questions as to if the team knows what they're doing or if this really is the best work they can do with this garbage-tier engine.

I just don't know why they bother with the performative aspect of "We want to communicate" when we can all tell that, even if this may be true for individuals, it's an absolute lie on behalf of the company itself.
