They abandoned this game when the players did. They're in contractual obligation mode right now.

I keep saying this but Battlfield is in a prime position for another Combined arms, FPS milsim light game to come in and take it's place!
If codmasters revived Operation flashpoint, Arma brought out a console milsim light version any number of franchises could take it's spot!!

It is what has allowed Dice Sweden to get away with subpar performance for so long. Nobody is making anything in the same genre. They either lean towards milsim or towards ego shooter. There's not really anything in the middle ground that offers what Battlefield used to offer.
