COD Ghosts had the correct way of allowing both competitive AND bot players to level up all the way. They introduced a separate XP and leveling system for bot play...worked the same exact way as the competitive unlocks...only it wasn't a shared system. Your MP progression/unlocks stayed in MP...and your bot unlocks/progression stayed in bot modes. Done. Everyone happy, as far as cheating issues.

I sincerely hope that DICE will keep bots in the franchise now for a very long time to come, but for future versions they really should consider mirroring the progression systems, but separating them for PvE and PvP..

@BigShottt i rather not have seperate progression, its going be awful for new comers later on to get into the game and then think "hmm i want tou have fun in a jet" and then get royally trounced by those of us who have all of our stuff decked out and can easily mop the floor with any new comer.

its better this way with shared progression. unless youre afraid that they can now fend for themselves abit and possibly give you a run for youre money?

    @madinogi Yeah I couldnt agree more. That and also the fact that EA is gonna add shortcut bundles in the store anyway.
