@Flavin913- what difference will it make?
I mean, if you want a politician's apology, have at it. In all honesty I found the "reeeeeeeeeee" reaction to the launch from many members of the community frankly infantile. Perhaps DICE should demand the community apologise too?On-topic, the Thursday fixes are welcome. The change list of update 3 is a thiccboi.
There's no real mention of many of the issues with the sound, particularly the quality of the sound in the game (overcompressed, muddy, low volume), which makes me a sad filthy vegan.
Similarly, the post didn't address why the minimum specifications for the game are so high for AMD users - an R5 3600 compared to an i5 6600K - a six-year old processor!
If you read the post, it lists a TON of bug fixes and/or glitches that they are either working on or looking into, and which reads like what you would expect from an indie developer giving an update on an Early Access game, which is yet to be finished. Some mention of "looking into" some of the "legacy" features like normal scoreboard, etc. but no promises. And no mention of actually addressing the core gameplay issues (i.e. what make's you feel like you are playing a Battlefield game vs. a game re-skinned to look like Battlefield).
Maybe in a year or two this game might be worth buying on a discount. But sadly, while to some this massive list of bug fixes gives you a hope that "they do care and they are listening", it just reaffirms my decision to get a refund. The only way they are going to learn not to release this kind of unfinished and subpar garbage is by hitting them in the pocketbook. When I pre-ordered the game, the idea was I was getting a finished product upon release, not early access to all the alpha and beta releases and fund the game development over 2-3 years while they continue to try to figure out how to get it right.

@R1ckyDaMan19How is it nerfed? Just the range right?
@Xanistar Man, you got all that from some patch notes? I hate to break it to you, but this looks like patch notes from any other game good / bad / ugly that is out in the world today. Your take here really just self-identifies you as one of the people that choose to hate this game no matter what… and only one person can change that.

"New official Vehicle Team Deathmatch template
Improved Bots helicopter handling
Improved Bots combat behaviors
Improved Bots gamemode behaviors"
Ok DICE you have my attention and a second chance. Please don't make me regret it!!!
As Garrus says in Mass Effect 2:
"I'm all for second chances. Not so big on third ones though."
- @carsono311 Kind of been having weird audio issues and hoping they are actually minor to fix and put in 2nd or 3 patch.
- @Jesse165 If they can get some of these core issues resolved, the community will adapt. But that core stuff needs fixing.
- @carsono311 Choose to hate this game? Hardly. Extremely disappointed in this game? Absolutely. What we were sold, and how this game was marketed is vastly different than the actual product. And nowhere close to Battlefield games of the past. This game promised an immersive experience with a great amount of levolution, with all the hype suggesting this was an expasion upon all the good ideas and gameplay from BF2, BF3, BF4, etc. What we got was a reskinned wannabe COD/Apex/Fortnite marketed under the Battlefield banner. If you are happy with this, that's your prerogative. But don't kid yourself that this is actually a true Battlefield game. So in one respect you are correct: I choose to not look at the flaming pile of crap this game is and pretend it's a masterpiece.
And no, the vast majority of games with patch notes do not generally ever exceed two pages of bug fixes for things that should have never made it into the final release. - OskooI_0074 years agoSeasoned Ace
Is end-of-round scoreboard the same thing as a mid-round scoreboard you can see by pressing tab? If not I'm going to be disappointed. Hopefully it shows the score of enemy players and their K/D.
Also, no talk of the funky movement issues while walking. Such as micro rubberbanding due to animation issues and forward speed getting cut in half while strafing left or right.
Movement feels fine while sprinting, but funky while walking.
- @OskooI_007 it is funky for sure. I was talking to cantgetright earlier about the people skating across the map looking like the dude in pitall on Atari
- @OskooI_007 Also experienced tonight a lot of the ground cover not rendering in game...on series x
