EA/DICE should have released their own proper gameplay footage earlier instead of naively hoping people would honor NDA's.
That said, BF3/BF4 on steroids is all I want, so I am happy as can be at this stage!

@CyberDymeSaw some footage on Youtube. The person who recorded it have their player ID watermarked all over it. Think he/she will get some attention from EA's lawyers.

if you look actually close, except the "setting" (well it is set after Battlefield 4, gadgets, guns and vehicles) most things gameplay and movement wise are the good things from Battlefield V.
The TTK seems also great so far.
Revive System, Movement (jumping / climbing, running, falling).
Tanks are fast... but no wonder if I compare them with a Battlefield V Tiger.
The most problems I saw so far are:
Performance stuttering, collision boxes issues, clipping error's through different view zones... in other words it is truly an alpha version and needs a hell of work so I am more interested in the actually beta to see how much the game got improved.
Important is now that the Playtester give feedback (specially every tiny error) on the playtest forum.
I saw the footage yesterday right after the trailer-reveal.
I was wondering how old this footage must be. It looked really early-stage, so I´m not gonna comment on the technical stuff as the sound was clanky, rendering horrible and also dimensionwise there seemed to be issues. (Ppl on the roof seems huge compared to the house etc.)
Instead I had three points:
1) I really couldnt tell if the new conquest-system worked well or not as the map was divided into sectors and the player (may he RIP) seemed like someone who played BF for the first time in his life. Did anyone notice the ticketbleed?
2) I also noted the mashup that was implemented into the game:
- Bushes and shrouds from the Pacificmaps in BFV
- Blue fences, cranes, environmental items from BF4
- K-30 from BF Hardline
- Grapplingmoves from Apex Legends
3) Most important: I saw the danish flag on 2 occasions. So I am happy to know my country is still going strong in the year 2042! :-)

Haha yes exacty @Lancelot_du_Lac,
High IQ and integrity were obviously not among the criteria for being selected to the Technical Playtest by EA. 😉
May he RIP !

Hey all, please do not post any images or videos showing content from any of the ongoing betas that show the user names of others as this is against the AHQ User Rules and Guidelines.

1. Yeah @DeeCay_DK_81 ,
If the starting point is classic 800 tickets and with 128 players on board, its going to go much faster than in previous BF games. A standard starting point will now need to be 1,600 tickets if you want the approx. equivalent game round time. On top. both the total number of tickets and the ticket bleed rate are both server parameters that very easily can be adjusted to match exactly your preference. Matter of fact, I expect it also to be available as open parameters for the server creators to play around with in the BF2042 Portal.
3. We have many NoPats living/working across the waters in old Danish territories there, both in Stockholm and especially just across from CPH in the EA DICE office in Gothenburg. There were though also nice references to our other Nordic Viking brothers in the gameplay. ;o)

I was also surprised to see how unfinished the game looks in those leaked videos.
Release date is very, very soon.

If anything you should actually be very very positively surprised about the great level of details, size and all that you saw.
It was a constrained technical playtest only, supposed to have been in a grey box.
Cosmetic optimized image rendering is not going to be switched on for the client side until the open beta and some may even wait till full launch.
- VOLBANKER_PC4 years agoSeasoned Ace@CyberDyme Yes, that’s true - I remember they said technical playtest would simply be in a grey environment, i.e. no real game graphics.
