Let’s talk average server latency

Lots of forum users are very experienced computer folks.can you help me understand what the average server latency is and how it works in 2042. I think I know, but I can’t understand how it could be ...

    @hambaci_kurangerTN sucks. They cater to players with high pings. You are at a significant disadvantage with a low ping as they bundle updates from slower clients. Lower ping players will feel like they have rubber bullets, then instantly die from what feels like one shot, when it was 5. They went with lazy netcode to accommodate 128 players and 45Hz servers.

That would be one way to do it But a very bad way, given that one or a few players with a bad ping seems to be able to ruin everybody's experience on the server.

It would be stupid by Dice to just calculate the average the basic way or otherwise they could not really tell anything from this aggregate and the value would not be able to reflect the influence some players with bad ping will have. Unless they would calculate the average of say 10 players with the hightest LAT values. Then you can most likely get away with this (even though not so much if even one player alone can drag down the whole server, but in this case you can even just show the average of the top 3 or so).

To be honest, it's a shame for the game, but probably EA or the servers can't be blamed for the bad netcode because there are simply not enough players to use the servers properly. How is a server supposed to assemble a good connection between the only players in the entire game who play in different continents? The game cannot simply create a server in one continent because there are simply not enough players to fill it. I deleted and installed again the game for the third time. Hope it will be my last time....... I was in a TDM match who one team was dominating because they killed around edges and instant kills, I left the game and searched for a new one... I landed in the same squad in the same Lobby..... left again and searched for a new one, I landed again in the same squad and Lobby. After I activated crossplay (normaly play without crossplay for fairness on both sides). Found a complete new lobby but had the same problems with more Problems......
