Be sensible.....
@Trokey66 It's not the same thing. There are no two different versions of 2042 to choose from. There are no two distinctive market groups to sell it to. We're all buying the same game. You payed for it, you decide what you want from it. Sure, devs have control over their vision and some of technicalities but they SHOULD listen to YOU.
You think DICE came with modern setting on their own? Please-they got burnt so badly with BF5 and their ''ideas'' that they immediately backtracked to first safest haven they knew will get them back up. And not coincidentally, that safe haven is what players (consumers) always liked.
Besides, you're not targeted niche for those cars in a first place.
- Trokey664 years agoSeasoned Ace@dragonslayerxxx1 And perhaps people with poor interwebs who want offline 'bots' are not the target niche for DICE.
Parallels can dawn. - Jesse1654 years agoSeasoned Ace@Trokey66 Sorry but with the Server Problems I am seeing now on Battlefield 4 it makes me realize once again that the OP is completely right. Even if its not at launch the Offline Bot Matches NEED to be added as soon as possible so that we can still play the game when the servers are down.
Doesn't matter how good your internet is at all if there are no servers to play on. - 4 years ago

Doesn't matter how good your internet is at all if there are no servers to play on.Hi @Jesse165,
While the option to go offline and still have fun with BF4 these day would have been ideal, its many years ago that EA cared to make more money out a game they released back in Oct 2013. So though we are many that still plays that game with great joy (myself included) then we also have to admit that time has gone and much about it has become outdated.
If BFV had been with modern weapons in a modern setting, then I would think most of us BF3/BF4 fans would have moved on. But with the mysterious repeated old historical battle titles from EA that BF1 and BFV were, we have been left behind till now...
As some posters above points out, there are no long-term financial incentive for EA to make a game too long lived. Unfortunately.
- ChrisAWJBethel4 years agoSeasoned Ace@Trokey66 Why is 'playing a different game' your solution? He has the right to play this game and give feedback just like EA has the right to completely ignore that feedback.
- ChrisAWJBethel4 years agoSeasoned Ace@Jesse165 This!
- Jesse1654 years agoSeasoned Ace@Trokey66 @CyberDyme
How about you both try again later once you have a solution that isn't "play a different game".
It's not my fault when their servers are completely broken.
As I said you could have the best internet connection in the world but it doesn't matter one bit if there are no servers to play on at all ! - 4 years ago

Parallels can dawn.Lol, can't argue with that... I don't even know who's pulling the strings in this story anymore - EA or DICE.
- ChrisAWJBethel4 years agoSeasoned Ace@Trokey66 People said the same thing about the always online DRM for the Xbox One.
- ChrisAWJBethel4 years agoSeasoned Ace@Trokey66 Your 'being realistic' is offering an inflexible and uncompromising 'solution' designed to favor the majority and line EA's pockets at our expense.
- Trokey664 years agoSeasoned Ace@ChrisAWJBethel Unless DICE decides to create an offline 'bot' mode in the future, it is not my solution, it is the ONLY solution.
- ChrisAWJBethel4 years agoSeasoned Ace@Trokey66 Then we will do everything in our power to ensure offline bots return to Battlefield.

Yeah, good luck with that and as long as it doesn't come at the cost of an online feature.
- Jesse1654 years agoSeasoned Ace@Trokey66 Don't need to be working with DICE to be smart enough to see the simple facts. If you actually played Battlefront 2 you would see the truth as well.
Galactic and Starfighter Assault are both still there, Supremacy is there, Heroes vs Villains is still there.
Did they take anything out of the online matches when they added the Offline Instant Action to Battlefront 2? Nope
Everything is still there. - Trokey664 years agoSeasoned Ace
@Jesse165ahhh so you had intimate knowledge of the SWBF project plan as well!
Was that mode always planned in or a 'last minute addition'?
If it was last minute, was it as a result of spare capacity or did something 'unannounced' not make it?
As someone with obvious inside information, you'll know the answers to these questions. - Jesse1654 years agoSeasoned Ace@Trokey66 Actually I do know the answer to that one.
There was nothing unannounced after that because it's when they all started working more on Battlefield 2042 which is what they have been doing ever since.
If they were working on anything else at the same time that they added Instant Action it was probably stuff for the main part of Battlefield 2042 such as the Solo and Coop matches that will be in the game at launch.
All we are asking for is that they eventually make the Solo Matches for the main game and Portal playable offline even if they can't be as big as the matches using the EA/DICE Servers.
It's really as simple as that. - Jesse1654 years agoSeasoned Ace@Trokey66 Doesn't really matter since they would have moved to Battlefield 2042 regardless of what the true answer is.
I'd like to say it was a last second addition as a Thank You to all the Battlefront fans that stayed with the game through the end.
But the only one who probably can give a concrete answer to that is Dennis Brännvall and I don't think he is even with DICE anymore ☹️ - ChrisAWJBethel4 years agoSeasoned Ace@Trokey66 It won't. I assure you.
- ChrisAWJBethel4 years agoSeasoned Ace@Trokey66 Your sarcasm is unnecessary.
