By the Gods!
I remember the constant whinging on here about visibility in BFV being caused by 'too much clutter' on maps, now they are being lauded as fine detail?
Well that's the 'community' for you you.....

Yep, that amazes me too. Well, I guess most people seem to remember things much better than they really were.

@Trokey66I never complained about BFV having too much clutter. Actually several of 2042 maps are more reminiscent of BF 1942 maps from 2001-2002 for their level of detail, and hardware and software was not as sophisticated back then.

bfV vanilla maps sucked.
Also comparing a big desert map to a small destroyed city map is rather pointless.
OF course I guess that is thrown aside in the name of nonsense? Because nonsense fits the narrative. And reality doesn't.
Also graphics don't equal playability.

I'm not sure why anyone would have complained about too much clutter on maps in BF1 and BF5. Previous Battlefield maps had plenty of clutter and destruction (and levelution!).
The destruction, debris and atmosphere (graphic elements) helped gameplay IMO providing cover, realism and intrigue, rather than just lining up the ducks...
We need that back in 2042.
