@DaveTheBrave_USA yeah its a real shame the maps aren't better. i personally would've preferred smaller maps but better designed (more destruction, more details,... just more effort put into them, they don't feel genuine)
- DaveTheBrave_USA4 years agoSeasoned Ace@cornybbq2 Right, smaller with less open space. And there's a lot that doesn't blow up that ought to. The map design is lazy and terrible. And don't fill maps with shipping containers.

For me it is useless to compare the old maps with the new ones since, the latter, are objectively worse from any point of view that is not the size ...
However, many of the old maps also have their flaws.
To give you an example on BF1: Amiens, Argonne Forest and Giant's Shadow all had a "hourglass" conformation which made it almost impossible to set flanks without first breaking through on one side of the map (in one of the three main routes in the case of forest and city) or parachuting behind enemy lines.
