@SushiiComboWeren't the last four or five games in this series broken experiences when they were first released? I play BF2042 more than I have ever wanted to play BFV and look forward to future content and improvements.
Every battlefield has had their technical issues upon launch. The issue is that previous BF games had functionally mostly included and usually the issues were due to servers not being able to hold up but when the games worked, they worked well.
I'm happy that you're enjoying your time with 2042, however objectively the game is missing a ton of essential functionality to make it a competent game. To top it all off, DICE seem to have been overconfident and are being defiant with their community. Stating that scoreboards are "legacy features" doesn't bode well for the future of the game at the moment.

I was playing BF5 yesterday, no problems at all. Played 2042 today and the game crashed, kicking out all players, half way through a round.
They already have working, stable, BF games, so why did they feel the need to make changes to server rotation and matchmaking leaving it in such a mess and making it currently impossible to get more than 4 friends in a game.
If money was at the forefront of 2042, it has spectacularly backfired. EA would be insane to introduce microtransactions to this game. The last thing they will want to do is anger their community even more.
They need to be giving away cosmetics to keep players logging on.
