Terrible grind for me again. All netcode, TTK, double damage, enemy seems ALWAYS to know from where I approach, etc. problems are concentrated for me in this...
Out of 6 rounds I quit on 4 after 2 minutes because my team was completely destroyed by other team (100% score difference). Also the 2 rounds I stayed we lost in the end.
The problems that I receive double damage very often and only 80 to 90% of my hits are counted on the server is completely ruining this close quarter "expereince" for me. Also it seems that I have not unlocked the homing feature on my hand grenades yet - but all enemies have.
I manage 4 to 5 ribbons in each (complete) round - so I would have to play ~20 rounds. Adding the ones I quit I have to start 60 rounds => 50% play time and 50% waiting and connecting time. I don't think that I will do this for some skins...

Shutdown might be the greatest mode in 2042 for those who actually have friends and platoon to flex the fact that they can actually work together.
When I went in alone I had a very bad time.
When I went with 2 clanmates I managed to have a lot more fun because 2 of my 7 teammates were not eating glue.
I think that Shutdown is a massive hit for the intended audience of small scale infantry battles.
The fact that the Lance EMP is progressively damaging the objectives instead of being binary like the Rush M-Coms and being able to be placed in several places is adding a lot of depth to the game mode

Awesome mode, should be a new staple in the main menus. Having lots of fun with it.

It's basically 8v8 rush with a lot more areas to defend at first. Players have no clue what they are doing. All the fights are within 5m of each other with K30s. So if that is your cup of soup, enjoy.
With how bad the netcode is, aim assist, etc. This is a terrible mode for this game.

They still do the same kind of things they've been doing since the game released. When it comes to 8v8 or lower, folks have to be on their game. If you're dead weight and hurt your team.
another miss. Instead of making stuff players want they threw in another useless mode. Played a few rounds, were over in just a few minutes. Spend more time changing rounds, waiting to load, new map etc then actual gameplay.

They made this mode for the dudes crying about getting killed by vehicles.

From what I understand/have read, folks with controller may not even have a button bound by default to interact with the points/lances? [something I read on reddit, so medium grain of salt here].
And I don't think the scoreboard matters, it's been in every BF. It doesn't change how people perform, but it does help to know what people are pulling their weight for the team and who is sitting in the back with no assists, 1 kill, 17 deaths, no resupplies/spots/etc.
