@KRY2X4B523PThis should have been made halloween themed mode with free halloween skins/map etc but yet again DICE/EA have stripped any decent talent away from the game. The lack of imagination in this game is beyond pathetic.

Ye just as expected, I quit my first round, what a massive let down.
- Mixing PVE into PVP when the TTK/TTD is what it is, just annoying if anything
- The AI is insanely bad
- Zombies make little to no scary noises
- There is so few AI to make it remotely fun
- Can completely ignore the AI
- These limited time gamemodes are just bad anyway imo, they are overly complicated for what they are.
All the hype, the trailer and this is it? Trailer was even a lie, showed part of the maps that aren't even in the gamemode?
Was expecting massive hordes of AI, but even then any mix of PVP in a gamemode like this is just a big fail.
And worst of all, we can't be zombies ourselves....
It honestly felt like playing some janky Counter strike zombie server, but those are actually good fun so dunno what this is supposed to be.

Nailed it! I was expecting the ai to at least be a nuisance to make capping/defending a challange, but it is really just 12 v 12 which is really too small.
It also brings back why I did not enjoy the maps in this game... running from point A to B in the wide open. It's just frustrating.
Edited* I was wrong, you can't earn ribbons for unlocks except by playing this lame mode. ! I played a couple more rounds, and as I expected this is not for me! It might appeal to CoD players but this has NOTHING to do with Battlefiield!
12 vs 12 is too few players, the maps are too small. The AI (Geists) is a huge let down and poorly implemented. I've seen hoards of them standing still! As others said they are not scary at all.
As to the gameplay itself, the 12 players are split between those who camp the Forge (place where the Geists spawn), those who capture objectives, and those who use it as team death match, mixed with the odd sniper on the cranes on Manifest.
The map design of Redacted for this mode.....well what shall I say about that? Whomever at Dice thought it was a good idea to have both teams spawn on opposite sites of the same deployment area (the A objective in Conquest), should hand in his/her resignation tomorrow, maybe check if Activision is hiring?
To top things of, where with Redux they made you earn the rewards by collecting ribbons in any official gamemode, they went back to only ribbons earned in the event mode for this one.My biggest issue with this mode is so few players (Pugs) actually played the objective. Came in tops of the board on a few occasions, that should never happen as I am a trash player that just likes to be near the objective. I think if more peeps ptfo'd then the mode would work well.

What can I say: first round on the crappy map Hourglass, says enough. Surrounded by ai, running around like headless chickens, as usual each season is worse, and worse and worse

You had our attention and it looked cool, but yeah it's not fun. Why would I play this over Conquest?
Like others have said, it should have been a PvE horde mode. PvPvE is so incredibly hard to get right and there's zero chance of doing it right with a quick limited time mode.
Some how the hit reg is even worse then the regular servers. The AI just soak up ammo and you don't start off with more or anything.
There's so many cool things that could've have been done. What if you had to clear off a point infested with zombies, or whatever they're called, then you have to defend that point. Then rinse and repeat until you get to a boss or it just gets harder and harder.

whelp.
Just did two rounds (one on Hourglass and the other on Redacted), this is quite possibly the worst "event"/mode that's been added to the game. The portal Zombies "accident" near launch was better, as at least you could level up as well as your mastery...
12v12 is a bad player count for it, the AI is entirely useless, and it just feels terrible. Don't waste your time.

This may be the biggest epic fails of all fails. The game has finally gained back players and you drop this *?
The game is unplayable with ridiculous lag, mouse input lag (horizontally), bundled bullet instant deaths, and a full clip to kill anyone. Then you add the worst AI ever and you have FailSwitch, wow, speechless.

Played one round and quit after that. Epic let down given all the hype. Half the team had no idea what it was meant to be doing. It's not really clear when you're capping the nodes either. Needs to be like capping a flag in conquest. The map I played was hourglass and all the nodes kept appearing in the the same place, so whoever controlled that node when it changed just capped then defended it with ease and the other team couldn't get near them. Turned into a massive spawnlock situation with one team unable to get out of their spawn for over half the game. Even the AI was spawncamping!
Won't be playing that mode again. Feels rushed and not complete.
