Maybe for the next game but at the moment I think there are more important things to address.
Someone needs to create the models (skeletal, cloth, animations etc.), set up and record audio lines, and tweak some UI to make it happen - While options are great for the consumer, these design choices would temporarily take from other aspects of the game and we need them focusing on stability and stuff.
The models are not so generic like in Vigor. It is a lot of work. Texture, lip sync, movement, skeleton matching how they hold weapons, fine tuning.
They glitched the good damn blue SWS-10! It was just a color! Don't expect much.
I never thought that the meaning of pride, accommodation, and positive, or affirming policies would come to this. These are more politically tied discussions for the sake of voters, not questions for game design with all genders, colors, and nationalities represented, with more to come. f McKay were transgender, gay, or straight, I'd pick him for the grapple hook. It is that simple.
They only said they heard your sentiment, OP, because it was already on their plans. But not like you want. They are already reworking the specialists, as you know.
But they may use you. Does that make you proud? For example:
If hey ditch specialists and the "specialties" or traits become gadget one (listed under classes, so everyone is happy), and you can pick the grapple hook with Sundance as gadget one, parachute or wingsuit is now selectable, and you pick gadget 2 as it currently is, would they be accommodating someone or just taking advantage of the situation if they say they are accomodating non-binary gender people? Anything goes for a marketing stunt. Don't be fooled. Don't be used.
@TTZ_DipsyI believe this is one of the factors that estranged a very high number of players.
I am still sure, that the original concept only had one medic with a team revive ability. The outcry that Falck is female resulted in changes to the role of Angel.
Angel would work fine without team revive ability, and still be overpowered.
