Its sad to see that dice is losing it. I feel all triple A games are not what it used to be. Also most remasters these days are just a cash grab. I am sad to see where this gaming industry is going to. It’s just being a cash grab. Having a ps5 but there are almost no good games. For battlefield they should implement the next things to save it a bit:
- scoreboard
- zoom in function on map and make more clear on map where you are. It’s like finding Wally at the moment.
- switching squads
- easy selecting a point or player to spawn. It’s not responding well
- performance (FPS, bugs like down state etc)
- downgrade those hovercrafts. Less of these and no instant kill for running over. It’s hoverfield 2042 atm. and kill driver more easy
- more weapons and attachements
- time to kill and bullit sponges.
- no clear distinct between enemy and friend at first glance
And worst of all, the map design. They are way to big. But this is a fundamental problem. Some are just sniper levels. Like the snowy one. Not much close combat. Which means not much memoral moments per game. And I dont know how to fix this.
the 128 players was nice idea. But maps are so big now. And interieur is so boring that I am not feeling it. I am sad about this. I played one day and I am already bored.
also there are on breakthrough choke points that are to hard to get. Like on the ships in harbour. Where you keep shooting down. Maps design is sooo bad which makes the game very annoying. Vehicles to overpowered
I don’t know if it get fixed. But the state of the game is the worst I have seen for the editions
- RayD_O14 years agoHero@Dutchdevil23 I agree with everything you said and yes it is sad to see DICE taking the BF series in this new direction. Time will tell whether we will ever get the old style BF gameplay back, sadly I am not holding my breath.

True. This is the second time since BF42 I do not have a BF game on release date. I skipped BF2142, which was probably a mistake. Time will tell whether BF2042 will also be a bad decision or a wise decision. Right now, it's clearly a wise decision.
Bugs can be fixed, but not the core gameplay itself. There are too many things that have been changed for the worse or completely missing compared to previous BF games imo.
