@Dutchdevil23 I agree with everything you said and yes it is sad to see DICE taking the BF series in this new direction. Time will tell whether we will ever get the old style BF gameplay back, sadly I am not holding my breath.

True. This is the second time since BF42 I do not have a BF game on release date. I skipped BF2142, which was probably a mistake. Time will tell whether BF2042 will also be a bad decision or a wise decision. Right now, it's clearly a wise decision.
Bugs can be fixed, but not the core gameplay itself. There are too many things that have been changed for the worse or completely missing compared to previous BF games imo.
