Another thing that grates is the vehicle physics. Using jeeps to get from A to B, they are just far too floaty and light. At the start of the round, you either have the option to run for miles watching flag after flag get taken before you get there (DICE - get the helicopters transporting troops to land closer to the first flag!) or you have to grab one of the jeeps. When you do, in the mad rush of jeeps, hovercrafts, tanks and Boltes from the start point, the slightest touch sends you into a wild spin and facing the wrong way. Running over small rocks sends you flying through the air and ending up god knows where. Etc.
I think this was intentionally done to enable "jeep stuff" and let them lean in to their "battlefield moments" marketing spiel. I'd have preferred jeeps that actually handle in a predictable way thanks very much.
@FatherDed hahah how true, the vehicle mayhem at the start of every round is like something out of Whacky Races 🙂 And once you finally get it pointed in the right direction and trundling towards the flag you get another great thump from behind as someone runs you off the road to make it to the flag before you. Such Fun !!!!
