Maybe you should stay off Twitter...

I mean... I just took a glance at the new twitter post and BOY OH BOY... Well, lets not repeat it here...

Point is... Nobody is waiting for new portal modes at the moment (certainly not Vanilla 2042). We've had to "endure" the state of the game in the hopes that after the holidays we would get some word at least about upcoming things because lets be real, this game is going down the drain fast and if march is the first time we'll get actual new content then there won't be many people to play with anymore.

Responsibility needs to be taken, an apology made and most of all: a clear roadmap of what we can expect. And don't turn this against the community with our "brutal expectations". You sold us a game, "a love letter to the fans" and we got something else entirely and even that is pretty much broken, unbalanced and not tested. So please, stay off twitter with things nobody is waiting for and get us the clarity we need.

We're not a torch and pitchfork mob. We are your customers who paid for this product and we deserve communication.

  • Sure, well said. Let me add, I think these snap-backish comments from these new DICE people are unacceptable. Instead of taking the (mostly) constructive criticism as it is its like they say, you say something negative, so will we. It just furthers this whole "dont hurt my feelings" age were in.

Have to say that some of the responses against EA/DICE are a bit over the top, but I do understand the anger...

We have no word on Season 1, no idea on when the next update is going to be or whats being worked on and then they even remove a mode that everyone wanted (Rush). People were vocal about wanting Rush to stay and again, they did the exact opposite...

Its like they're listening to their fan base and purposefully do the opposite.

@Psubonddoesn't really mean much though, you can train a person but you can't change a person, that's on them to do that.

Make me laugh how much the X and Y fans of X and Y batlefield praised Portal as the saving grace of 2042 and that they didnt care about the core experience and would make their own ?

Then realise no ones cared about their each individuals vision of what BF should be and most peoples simply played the base game wich is better than old BF ..

Then they decided to ask for everything to be changed from the base game so they can force peoples into their vision of the game .. Ignoring portal even exist for that purpose only ... BF2042 base experience is the NEW battlefield and i love it in most of its aspect while still needing improovements .. Those who are stuck in nostalgia can play whatever they create in Portal .. they have access to all maps .. All version .. 6 Remaster maps ...

I am really tired of this narative

@Stew360 Except people didn't buy the game to have a nostalgia trip in Portal. They expected the franchise to evolve and build further on the strong foundations it already had, not remove all the foundations and dig a hole...

Also, you don't have all the maps in portal and not everything that has come over has come in a solid state...

Most of the feedback you read here is about the same stuff so you can't exactly call it an "individual" opinion. In general there's a dislike for specialists, lack of destruction, lack of stats/scoreboard/voip, bland maps with a bad flow, general unpolished content/weapons...

Anyways, this post wasn't about the state of the game, it's the sudden lack of communication... We have no news on whats next and that worries me because this is exactly the same trend as what Anthem went through... Eventually EA is going to drop it because it's not making money, not knowing its their fault for not delivering on the whole "live service" idea...
