OK @prrnf7mot185 ,
Just to tease you a bit:
You have approx 3,000 games for the xbox platform.
You have now listed here approx 90-100 games w M&K support.
That equals still less than 3% of all games supporting M&K.
So yes, the vast majority of games do not support M&K for the game consoles. :o)
Now again, I am only on PlayStation myself; while 100% sure now with Microsoft's duplicate interests here, they are very eager for very strong commercial reasons to have their games available in xPlay, for both PC and xbox players, whereof sure you have many that have/wants to play on both platforms. And yes agreed, many of their PC gamers would also prefer to play on their xbox using M&K.
Please note I have nothing against M&K gamers, as long as I have a viable option to deselect playing with any of them. Had enough of the raging hacks and cheats on PC and reason why I stopped totally playing any online multiplayer games on PC and migrated entirely to PlayStation for such games. Sick and tired of those dominating 24/7 are those that pimp their PC rig with the latest and greatest hacks. While totally destroying the gaming pleasure for the vast majority of causal gamers who just want to have some relaxed fun with their online friends.
We can lay the responsibility on the console developer to be able for the game developers to sense what input methodology is used by the gamer, to enable that we the gamers will be able to choose who we want to play with or not of the different platforms.
As long as MSFT Xbox cannot signal to BF2042 that a keyboard and mouse is truly providing the soldier movements and aiming in the game, then it will not be possible. And as long as MSFT is not controlling to full extend that no modded M&K is connected (same for the modded controllers btw), it will not work for many disgruntled players who are all fed up with the cheaters.
Until then, community-run servers and separate gaming worlds between platforms is my personal preference.
