Well I'm older and heard every curse word available to human ears.. but I (myself) don’t wanna hear GD, Fu, etc..
Let’s face it.. EA can put a 17 year old protective number but mostly kids under that age will wanna spend money with their company. A simple toggle may open the opportunity to more customers that just don’t like hearing profanity.

That is not the Problem of EA they have done all they could, game where tested and then they put an age restriction on the game.
If you don't like it is ok but when it is marked with “Blood, Strong Language and Violence” you should know that such things could be in a game.
Also, the person who sells a game with M17+, Pegi 16 or USK16 to a kid which is not old enough is responsible and I think than you as a parent should go to this shop and clear this situation.
If the kid has bought it online you as a parent are responsible when the kid is not old enough, maybe nextime watch what the kid is buying
If you as parent give access to such a game to a kid which is not old enough you are responsible and not the Publisher or Developer.

@CountSeroPlease don't point to the game rating companies/agencies as some form of reliable guidance. They encourage/enable EA's FIFA child gambling ("Surprise mechanics") by making that game basically E for Everyone. But seeing how making a scoreboard or not ridiculous UI is a bridge too far for EA, being able to deselect profane voice lines would prove impossible.
- 4 years ago@-DFA-Thump I have the same opinion related to the gambling mechanics and here in Germany, they already have done a huge step and some games have not gotten the E for everyone here. In GER the discussion between real gambling and simulated gambling and if this this part of the core game is still ongoing, we will see what this brings in future.
But still than this Age restrictions are not an exemption from your parental duties, If my kid would ask me for hundreds of euros to put into one game this make me sit up and take notice 😉- 4 years ago@CountSero Fair enough. Also glad that at least some countries are taking action...sadly, it's not going to be the U.S. leading the effort as the politicians have been bought.

@CLEMSONU I'm playing war game and I want war atmosphere there. And most of peope playing BF also do. 2042 is a shame compared to BF3 or BF4 where language was ACTUALLY strong.
If u dont like game - dont play it, if you dont like game that doesnt mean other thousands of players should suffer because of you.
2042 is extremely gamer friendly, chat filters, unable to send message to enemy team, VOIP mutes etc. etc.
Its most tolerant franchise episode.
Im sorry its just hilarious, I believe OP is trolling
