My child can’t play this game..
I allow him to play other 1st person shooters but personally don’t allow profanity (my choice 👍). What good is the Battlefield 2042 profanity filter in text chat when Mackay screams out.. G*Damn**....

Imagine sheltering your child in 2021 when they have digital access to everything whether you know it or not.
My most sheltered neighbor kids grew up to be absolute failures because when they flew the coop they overdid everything. Language, drinking, all of it. Instead of mum and dad gradually exposing them and explaining good vs bad, they were told its all bad all the time...
When reality came, they werent ready and got overexposed, over quick. Now one is homeless and one works at a gas station in a shady town in MA.
Goodluck though! Your kids your call, anyone here can say what they want including myself but it doesnt matter, not our lives. Like the EA community responder said, youre putting your kids in a Mature rating game, and not wanting it to be mature. Doesnt work that way, I guess this is goodbye.
Somehow most would have a hard time seeing that wishing we had a profanity filter toggle is gonna send kids working at the gas stations all over the world 😂🤦🏼♂️
